Majord was not built by a software team guessing what agencies need. It grew out of decades spent actually running vacation rental and concierge businesses on the ground, and out of watching where those businesses leave money on the table.
After more than 30 years in vacation rentals and hospitality, Alexandre Boutemy noticed a simple truth: most agencies and property managers miss out on a significant source of additional revenue.
Throughout his career, he worked with an international clientele across some of the world's most sought-after destinations. But one thing kept coming back: travelers are looking, above all, for services that are simple, reliable and easy to book.
Good concierge service is not just about booking a private jet or a yacht. It is, first and foremost, about making a guest's stay easier: letting them book a nanny, a boat with a skipper, an excursion, a massage, a private chef, or a grocery delivery in just a few clicks. That vision is what gave birth to Majord: a platform that lets every agency, concierge company and property manager easily offer these services while building new sources of revenue.
His path took him through Elite Properties, the company he founded in Sint Maarten, and on to some of the world's most prestigious destinations: Saint-Tropez, Saint-Barthelemy, Miami, Courchevel, Gstaad, Crans-Montana, Verbier, Hong Kong and Phuket. Along the way he worked with private owners, real estate agencies, family offices and a demanding international clientele.

The biggest mistake agencies and concierge companies make is assuming concierge only makes sense for guests with private jets, yachts and a Ferrari waiting at the airport. In Alexandre's experience, the guest renting a villa at 2,000, 3,000 or 5,000 EUR a week is often the one most likely to book extra services, precisely because they genuinely improve the stay and are simple to access: a nanny, a private transfer, a grocery delivery, a boat trip, an in-villa massage, an excursion, or a private chef for a special evening.
Most companies leave that revenue on the table for a simple reason: they cannot capture the guest's attention at the right moment, they do not have the right app to actually sell the service, and by the time they follow up, the moment has passed. Majord exists to fix exactly that: give any agency, conciergerie or owner a fast, branded way to put these services in front of a guest and let them book on the spot, at any price point.
With Majord, a guest can discover and book services suited to their stay without friction:
Based on Alexandre's own experience running these businesses, not a third-party study: on an average villa, a good concierge offer can generate anywhere from a few hundred euros for smaller requests up to several hundred thousand euros for clients asking for exceptional services (private chefs, private jets, yachts, exclusive experiences), entirely depending on the guest's tier and the services offered. Commissions negotiated with local partners are typically in the 20 to 30% range, sometimes more: some tour and excursion providers pay back 30 to 40% to the agency that sells them, and some let the agency set its own resale price entirely, with marketing materials that carry no listed price at all.
The point is not any single number: it is that this revenue exists on almost every stay, and most agencies, conciergeries and owners currently have no fast, branded way to capture it.
What makes this possible is field experience, not just software skills: knowing what travelers actually expect, what property owners need, and what agencies and conciergerie companies struggle with day to day, combined with using today's technology, including AI, to build a product shaped around those real needs rather than a generic booking widget.
Majord exists because agencies, conciergerie companies and owners have lacked a simple way to turn every stay into a complete experience while generating new revenue from it. The goal is to give partners a genuinely turnkey product, one that lets them sell more services and grow their profit, while also raising the guest experience with a modern app and an AI-assisted chat that can help travelers throughout their stay, the kind of tool usually reserved for much bigger companies. Even a guest who never returns to the same villa can remember the partner who made their stay easier, which is its own form of loyalty.
